- Case Overview
- Diagnosis
Age:
68
Sex:
female
Condition:
68 yr old female presented to emergency room after having seizure.
History:
She had a history of grade IV follicular Lymphoma. MRI shows a left frontal lobe non-enhancing tumor with associated edema and small focus of calcification. Patient underwent surgery for resection of tumor.
Note:
Pathology:
Tumor demonstrates uniform cell density and composed of monomorphic cell with pericellular clearing artifact (fried egg). Neoplastic nuclei are round to oval with delicate chromatin, and small nucleoli. Tumor also demonstrates perineuronal satellitosis, microcyst formation, microcalcifications and chicken wire vasculature. Mitoses are few. There is no vascular endothelial proliferation or necrosis. Immunohistochemistry for Ki-67 shows a low proliferation index.
