I have seen Malacoplakia very occasionally (and incidentally) with IBD. Never a polyp. Just curious to know what the gastroenterologist will do next. Any follow-up?
Some basophilic intracytoplasmic inclusions are noted within some large macrophages with "foamy" cytoplasm. It seems to be a malacoplakia. I have seen once, however, a case of xanthoma in the gastric mucosa. Differential diagnosis would be worthy. Thanks for sharing it!
