59-year-old male with hematochezia. Colon biopsy is performed and identified multiple mucosal and submucosal white spots.

Sections show fragments of benign colon mucosa with extensive proliferation of eosinophils and other chronic inflammatory elements. The eosinophils invade both mucosal and submucosal tissue and forming nodular submucosal aggregations. The glandular epithelium is focally invaded by lymphocytes and eosinophils. There is no evidence of ulceration or granuloma. H & E Stain.

History:
Hematochezia. Colonscopy exam is performed and found a white spot at 60 cm. of the colon. The specimen consists of 3 tan, irregular tissue fragments measuring 0.3 to 0.4 cm. in greatest dimension. All submitted.
