Gross: a pink polypoid tissue fragment measuring 0.9 cm.
Microscopic photo. Rectal biopsy showing haphazardly arranged benign colonic crypts surrounded by fibroblasts and smooth muscle proliferation.

Procedure: Left colon biopsy.
Micro: Sections show benign colon mucosa with mild nonspecific chronic inflammation.
A 46 yr old male, history of pain in abdomen and weight loss of 15kgs over eight month period.

Gross: Received is a 4 mm. pink polypoid mucosal biopsy tissue. The specimen is bisected. All embedded.

Procedure: Partial right colectomy.
Gross: The specimen consists of a resected cecum measuring 9 cm. in length with a maximal diameter of 6 cm.
65-year-old male with GI bleeding.
Colonoscopy exam was performed and found a 1.3 cm. colon polyp at the hepatic flexture.
Gross: Received is a 1.3 cm. tan polyp. The specimen is trisected.
